Blueberry Dump Cake Is Summer's Simplest Dessert

Blueberry dump cake is warm and delicious with a gooey filling and perfectly browned, crispy crust. Ingredients

  • 2 (21 oz.) cans blueberry pie filling

  • 1 (15.25 oz.) box yellow cake mix

  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) frozen unsalted butter, cut into 1/8-in.-thick slices, plus extra to grease pan

  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Prepare oven and baking pan:

    Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 13- x 9-inch baking pan with butter.

  2. Add pie filling:

    Spread blueberry pie filling evenly in prepared pan.

  3. Add cake mix:

    Sprinkle cake mix evenly over pie filling.

  4. Add butter and cinnamon:

    Place butter slices evenly over dry cake mix, making sure most of cake mix is covered.

    Sprinkle with cinnamon.

  5. Bake cake:

    Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and bubbly, about 45-50 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes. Serve warm.
