The only sight more beautiful than a Buc-ee’s is a Buc-ee’s made out of sugar.

Deanna and Paul Vaters created a shockingly realistic gingerbread replica of the Buc-ee's in Bastrop, Texas, complete with miniature cars and people. There’s even a Tesla supercharging station.

The Vaters’ edible roadside mecca is currently on display at the Williamson County Tax Office in Georgetown, where Deanna has worked for the last six years.

“If you actually look through the windows, you can actually see people inside, walking around," Deanna said in a video shared by the Williamson County government. "These are all the gas pumps, people are getting gas and people fixing their luggage. Basically, it's a travel stop on your way to your vacation and these are the things people are doing."

“We purchased all the vehicles, got all the candy and tried to make it happen,” Deanna explained.

And those tiny people getting gas, walking dogs, changing tires, and looking at maps aren’t just anybody… they’re her tax office coworkers.

“Every year I would come take their pictures, and I think the coworkers actually look forward to that because, you know, they’re always wondering what kind of pose they’re gonna’ do for the next year,” Deanna said. “We just print them off and we add little accessories like a map, the little hats I put on them… They’re all incorporated into the village.”

She has been making incredible gingerbread creations for the tax office over the last six years she has worked there, and at her other places of employment before that. She would also make them with her kids when they were little.

“It's been a long time that I have been making these. We love it. My husband and I love it," Deanna said. "We love doing stuff for coworkers, wherever we work we like to incorporate any kind of Christmas. We enjoy making people happy, and people really appreciate it.”
